The title of our 2008 Summer Bible Conference was, "You are the Christ," The conference was from July 19 to 22 at Greenfire Training Center. 162 people attended including 37 sheep, 11 JBF students, 5 missionaries, 4 Chinese, and 15 attendants from Ansan UBF. There were 13 lectures including 4 main lectures (Lecture I: Sh. Focus Yeo, Mt 9:1-13, "Your sins are forgiven," Lecture II: Sh. Gyeongjae Kim, Mt 27:11-61, "Jesus died on the cross," Lecture III: Sh. Wonsang Cho, Mt 16:13-28, "You are the Christ," Lecture IV: Sh. Woong Hwang, "Preach the good news to all creation.") 3 morning devotions (I: Sh. Sumin Park, Mt12:1-13, "Stretch out your hand," II: Sh. JaeJin Yoo, John8:1-12, "Neither do I condemn you," III: Sh. Ruth Hai, Mt26:1-13, "A woman anointed Jesus."), 5 evening messages ( "How shall we prepare the future?" Mt24 and Mt25), the opening message (Sh. Hoiwoong Jeong, Mt13:1-13, The secret of producing a crop a hundred times), 2 mission reports and 22 life testimonies.
We prayed that we would confess Jesus was Christ once again and make a decision of faith to live for Jesus during the conference. And all programs may be served voluntarily by young leaders and coworkers. Through listening to Lectures II and III, first comers opened their hearts and young leaders repented of their "leftover" sins. 2nd gen. missionaries, Joan Lee (Toronto) and Joshua Park (Toledo) met Jesus personally and were born again at this conference.
Junior shepherds presented a special lecture entitled, "How should we prepare the future?" (Mt. 24 and 25), and enlightened us to do the work of God. Students performed skits, "Kung Fu Panda," and a worship dance. And our Hanyang Univ. graduates made a movie and prepared a beautiful music program. Two of the four native shepherds from China shared their mission reports. And we anointed Shs. Anna Park with our prayers to be sent out as a missionary to Toledo.
God listened to our prayers we devoted every early morning and blessed the conference. We pray that we may serve God's word to our campus students and make disciples wholeheartedly.
