I was diagnosed with a tumor in the nasal plate in C., and later, this was confirmed after more diagnostic tests in Korea. All the symptoms were there: loss of hearing, constant headaches and a toothache. All these pains were caused by the tumor. When I was first admitted to Kyounghee Medical Center, it was so painful for me to even open my mouth when eating. Thankfully, however, the tumor did not spread.
I decided to receive 4 rounds of chemotherapy, and 7 weeks of radiation therapy.
On the 19th, I received my first round of chemotherapy. For 11 days after the treatment, I was not able to eat or sleep. I suffered from constipation. In the midst of this, I was hospitalized for three days because my WBC count went drastically down. I was released from the hospital just yesterday, and I am now getting ready for the second round of chemotherapy.
To tell the truth, my faith was very much weakened after I was initially diagnosed with cancer in Korea. But, despite of my weaknesses, coworkers everywhere started praying for me and my condition. So many people visited me and prayed with me. Msn. John Lee from Paraguay visited me in Korea and shared in my suffering.
Because of all the prayer support, I regained my strength and renewed my faith. I will fight the cancer and endure all rounds of painful chemotherapy with joy and thankfulness. I believe God's glory will be revealed through this. I pray that I may completely recover from it and return to my mission field.
Prayer Topics:
1. Chemotherapy may be effective, and I may be completely healed.
2. I may have strength and faith to fight against this tumor.
