Gwangju 1st Chapter's Spring Bible Conference Report

Gwangju 1st Chapter held a spring conference at Junbook Gochang Youth-Hostel from May 10 to 12. The theme of the conference was, ¡°Trust in God.¡± About 140 people attended including 25 newcomers.

Our main message was delivered by Shep. Isaac Lim who will soon be sent out to Kyrgyzstan as a missionary in June. Shep. Isaac worked hard as a Gwangju UBF¡¯s student ministry representative for the last 33 years. In his message, he shared that, when he devoted his life for the work of God, his family was blessed abundantly. But, he didn¡¯t just stop there and decided to live rest of his life serving God as a ¡°silver¡± missionary to Kyrgyzstan. He will be teaching Korean at an engineering college in Kyrgyzstan. Even though Kyrgyzstan is a developing country, majority of people being Muslim, I believe that God will bless this nation to become a Kingdom of Priest and a Holy Nation through Msn. Isaac Lim.

Other two messages were based on Genesis 37 (¡°Joseph¡¯s Dream¡±) and Mark 2 (¡°Your sins are forgiven¡±). Especially, 12 freshmen attended the conference, and 7 of them practiced for two weeks, and performed a special Christian dance. Missionaries Isaac and Rebecca Kim from North York, Canada visited our conference and delivered their mission report. Throughout the conference, we all prayed earnestly for the upcoming Purdue Conference.
