2008 Yonhee UBF Bible Reading Conf. News by Sh. David Kim, Korea

Yonhee UBF held a Bible Reading conference for lay shepherds in May 11 through 12 at Gwacheon, Korea. 40 shepherds attended. We had this conference for refreshing our hearts through reading the Bible together, and to pray for the Purdue conference and for our Yonhee Summer Bible conference(SBC).

On the first evening, two shepherds, Changhwan Kim and Kibeom Bang, shared their testimonies based on ¡°Your Kingdom Come¡±(Mk6:9,10). Then we knelt down and prayed to God with two prayer topics: First, for the Purdue conference. We prayed for 3,000 registrations and for Dr. John Jun and 6 main speakers. Second, for our Yonhee SBC. We prayed for inviting 200 students. For this we prayed that each one of us may bring 1 sheep to the SBC. After we prayed earnestly, we went our room and read the Bible late into the night.

Next morning, we climbed up a mountain and knelt down again on the top to pray for engaging in 1,000 1-to-1 Bible studies, and that 200 students may come to the SBC. Sh. David Kim led a GBS according to Matthew 7:1-12. After that, we broke into 4 teams to have a ¡®Jok-gu¡¯ tournament (which is like soccer and volley ball combined). Yonhee 5 and Ewha 7 united team won the victory. Since we had been too busy to have fellowship, it was a great time to have fellowship and pray together. It was a short but meaningful conference.
