Istanbul News

We are thankful that you prayed for our visas. God gave me and M. R US visas. Brother N and Shepherdess L failed to receive visas, but Shs. L decided not to give up. Her second visa interview is scheduled in June. I am glad that she is growing spiritually as a woman of faith who does not give up before difficulties.

From the beginning, we prayed for five attendants from Istanbul to attend the Purdue conference. But when the two were refused visas, it seemed like only three of us would attend. But firstly, Shs. L did not give up, and also Sister H said she wanted to go with us. She has a 10 year US visa. She has changed a lot. She is a prayer mother. Pray for her to take one week off from her work. She is planning to go to Norway to be engaged to and marry a Norwegian. We pray that she may receive one word of God through the Purdue conference. And if God shows his mercy in this way, then 5 attendants can come to the conference. We will pray for this to the end.

We are praying for sheep. Brother N constantly fell into some deceptions. Particularly, he used to think a lot and do nothing. I understand him very well because I was like him. He tried to study hard but often failed. And he criticized lazy shepherds. But in spite of his weakness, he is growing as a man of faith by overcoming difficulties. We pray that he may grow as a humble servant of God.

Brother Y is growing spiritually. He comes to Daily Bread meetings. But he has a problem with money. He hardly gives his tithe or lives sacrificially. He has lived this way for 18 years. Pray for him to overcome his materialism and become a sacrificial servant.

We pray for Brother H and C to open their hearts. They don¡¯t want to come to SWS because they are busy with their school activities.

M. M diligently studies the Bible with sister A. Her name means moonlight. She wants to have a religion, so she wants to know about the Bible. We pray that she may receive one word through Bible study. M says that she is very happy with us here. She said her mission field is the best in the world. May God help her to grow as a mother of prayer.

I¡¯ve been working at my job for a month. It¡¯s normal, stress free work. I¡¯m still in a trial period at work, but so far they are pleased with me. However, since I have to take off work to attend the international conference, I am worried that this might have a negative effect on my job. Please pray that I may keep my job and also be able to humbly serve God¡¯s work. I am also praying for my message at the international conference.

Our main prayer topics:

1. Exalt Jesus¡¯ name above all names in Turkey.
2. For Mark¡¯s Gospel Study.
3. 12 disciples of Jesus in Bosphorus University.
4. For 5 attendants from Istanbul to attend the Purdue conference.
5. For sister L to pass her English entrance exam so that she can begin her studies in Bosphorus University.

May God be with all of you. Msn. R, Msn. M, sister L, brother N, brother Y, and also sisters L and V send their warm greetings to you. Thank you for all your prayers!

Your servant in Jesus, Point
