Richmond UBF Prayer Topics by S. Chris Kelly

God is working in various ways here. God is working in Tommy at UVa. Six or seven women are coming to the Women's Bible study. And I am making many friends among coworkers and neighbors. Please pray for us to keep working quietly to lay a foundation (which is unseen) for God's work here in Virginia. I call it, "Building the dam". It takes a long time to build a dam. But once it's done, you have a nice lake for fishing and a power-station as well! This is my vision for myself. I have crucified the desire for position and recognition, so it is a relief to possess neither. But I desire to make friends and disciples, which God is doing for us.

We are praying for God's wisdom and help to move to Charlottesville, where the Univ. of Virginia is located. It's harder to sell our house in Richmond, and a little more expensive to buy one in Charlottesville. But we have committed ourselves to do so, and need God's help. So if you would, please remember us. UVa is a wonderful school, and the people are open and available there. So we are hoping to move this summer, and are sure God will help us.
