Praise and thank God for enabling NEIU UBF to celebrate 2008 Easter. Many things were new to us. It was the First NEIU Easter Bible Academy at the Chicago Center for two days. God answered our prayers to raise more than 60 Bible speakers (46 prayer meeting speakers, 10 testimony speakers, 4 main speakers and 3 presiders who shared testimonies as well) God also blessed with 89 attendees altogether. God sent 6 new True Vine members: Cynthia, Justin, Jeffry, Sarah, Tang and Lygia.

God blessed our four main speakers: Chris Wada (Mt 26 Gethsemane prayer), Joe Hester (Lk 23, Father forgive them), Edwin Illescas (Lk24a, He has risen) and Darren Gruett (24b, to all nations!). They memorized and recited their Bible passages three weeks before their message delivery. Their sincere message preparation with willing heart became good influence to all prayer meeting speakers led by M. Moses, M. Peter Han and S. Mike Thompson. M. Moody raised 11 Group Bible leaders. M. Daniel Kim helped testimony speakers. M. Daniel Yoshiba took care of presiders and prayer servants during 3 weeks. Dr. Joseph Chung gave us guide lines. M. Peter Kim and each fellowship leader took care of all speakers that belong to their fellowship. All women coworkers became one heart and mind to serve and make environment beginning with Stacy. M. Amalia with Marlene spent so many nights to prepare costumes for "La Bamba," a resurrection dancing which lasted only 2 minutes and 40 seconds. She said it was still worthwhile. Darnell and true vine members served skits and sing spirations.

Dr. John Jun with Sunji Jun and M. Grace A. Lee came and encouraged us with prayer. Above all we were all greatly encouraged by Jesus' Gethsemane prayer to struggle to obey God's will.. We were all so thankful to listen to Jesus on the cross "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." We thanked God for opening the kingdom of God for undeserving sinners like us. We were happy to hear that "He is not here!. He has risen!" We went home remembering, "And repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations." "You are witness of these things." Yes! We became witnesses of his death and resurrection! Our hearts were burning with all these things especially with the new hope of resurrection and eternal life in the kingdom of God. We pray to bring 3000 qualified members through 3000 prayers and especially 120 from NEIU.
